Meet Our Interim Director
My name is Becky Gaynor and I was hired as the Assistant Director at Children’s Community Center in May of 2011. I attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2013, I completed the Child Care Administrator’s Credential from UW-Milwaukee.
I started my education career teaching Kindergarten with the Brown Deer School District. In 2007 I left Brown Deer and began working part time as a Service Coordinator with the Waukesha County Birth to Three Program. Concurrently, I taught three-year-old classes with the Education Department at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Here at CCC I strive to build relationships with the children, families, and staff by spending time and getting to know them on a personal level. I have a passion for working with families that have children with special needs. I value and take great pride in our center’s mission and philosophy and get excited sharing it and building relationships with new families.
I grew up in West Bend and moved to Menomonee Falls in 2002 when I married my husband Bill. We have two children, our son John who is in 7th grade and daughter Emily is in 5th grade. Together, we enjoy visiting with our extended family, camping, and spending warm summer days on Big Cedar Lake.
Please feel free to contact me at any time as I would love to share all that CCC has to offer you and your family!
Children’s Community Center was established to provide early education and childcare to young children.
We pride ourselves on implementing a play-based curriculum. Classroom environments and activities are designed for all children regardless of ability or disability. The educational principle of full inclusion is an integral part of our programming. Through this practice, all children are given the opportunity to appreciate individual differences as they experience life in the classroom and learn together.
Areas of developmental learning include:
gross and fine motor
speech and language
We want all children to develop a positive attitude toward learning that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Children’s Community Center is a state licensed, full inclusion, non-profit child care center. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of parents and representatives from the community. They are responsible for setting center policies and procedures to ensure high quality childcare services in our community.

Project Adam Heart Safe School
In July 2017 Children’s Community Center became the first childcare center in the State of Wisconsin to become a Project ADAM Heart Safe School. Project ADAM Heart Safe Schools is a designation awarded to schools who have implemented a sustainable and comprehensive CPR and AED program. CCC had to create a written plan and coordinate a team of CPR/AED trained staff who are ready to act in an emergency.
CCC worked at becoming a Project ADAM Heart Safe School after Kylie, the 12-year old daughter of a staff member, collapsed in Cardiac Arrest outside of the building. Kylie’s mom, Dana, along with several staff members performed CPR on Kylie and saved her life. CCC wants every family that walks through the doors to know that our staff is prepared to respond to a cardiac emergency.
